“Each day provides its own gifts.” – Marcus Aurelius
Each day brings it’s set of gifts in one’s life – in the form of – learnings, mistakes, decisions, achievements, failures and more.
For each day is its own and it’s gifts make a better tomorrow, building a better version of ourself in the process.
It’s not wrong to look at each day as a new day, as a fresh start because it allows you to do different, be different and re-build if you want to – that’s a gift in its own way!
Happiness today, not tomorrow is the goal.
You need to be happy today.
Happiness is lived, not earned or achieved.
How do you do that?
• Being grateful for what you have,
• Loving what you do and,
• Loving the process more than the destination.
Three minor tweaks to your day-to-day life and you can start being happy today!
“Happiness is not something you postpone for the future; it is something you design for the present.” – Jim Rohn
Everyone has this one thought on their mind…
What can I do with my voice?
Should I raise my voice on a particular topic, but what if I’m the only one?
Would it make a difference?
We are a population of 7.3 billion people, what can one voice even do?
It’s better to be quiet, than to be loud and not be attended to.
However, should this be our thought process?
Wouldn’t it be better to speak your mind?
Raise your voice?
You never know the support that’s out there? The like-minded people who are ready to raise their voice with you, but they were waiting for someone to raise it first?
Plus, what’s the worst that can happen?
You support a particular topic, you put your voice to it, but you don’t get any support at all.
But, you still love it right?
Then it doesn’t matter anymore! On top of that, once everyone sees your passion and your love, they’ll automatically start backing your voice.
That’s always been the case!
Who we are.
Who we become.
What we think.
Where does it all come from?
Certainly not from a bunch of books taught to us during school or college.
We are an amalgamation of every person we meet in our lifetime, every experience we have, every activity we are a part of, our conversations, what we read, what we observe around us.
It all affects us.
We are a sum total of all that.
Some people talk about it, but don’t believe in it.
Some people believe in it, but don’t know how to talk about it.
Some people believe and talk about it, they are the authentic ones.
It can be anything.
Who are you listening to?
You can achieve anything, once you set your mind towards it.
When people around you, say it’s not possible, it should give you the energy to do it even more than before.
We get so entangled in our day-to-day lives, with “chasing happiness”, with “attaining success” that we are always chasing something.
When was the last time we focused on ourselves? When did we take a step back or rather stayed still and thought about us – who we are?
I was the person I’m referring to, in the first paragraph! I had been living it, without realizing the mistakes – because that’s what the society taught us, because that’s how everything is around us.
Something clicked within me, that things are going good but I’m not content with it. That its time for a change. That I’ve to change myself, in order to grow.
When you ponder over yourself, when your only goal is to learn more, about what is right – you seek knowledge and nothing else.
And in this process, you improve yourself. Improve as a better version of yourself! A 2.0, if that explains better.
With a good period of time spent on this and having realized that the process is long but enjoyable – I learnt this, the only way forward is to improve yourself and nothing else.
